IAO Ontario Section is committed to the goal of bringing people in the field of orthodontics closer and encouraging exchanges of ideas. IAO organizes an annual meeting to promote orthodontics in Ontario. Check out the details of our upcoming annual meet.
Meeting Name: IAO Ontario Meeting Conference
Topic: Growth and Function with Respect to Malocclusion in Orthodontics
Course Description: This course targets developing occlusion starting early to late teens, touching on genetic, environmental, habitual and functional factors that may negatively influence the occlusal and dental development. The discussion is ideally suited for frontline dental service providers seeing patients and prospective new parents on a regular recall basis.
Course Objectives: To be able to identify influences during growth which have negative developmental results and to guide the developing dentition into acceptable occlusion and facial aesthetics utilizing such things like behaviour modification, corrective appliance therapy and appropriate timely referrals to collateral specialties like ENT, OMFS, Orthodontics, Myofunctional Therapists etc. allowing natural forces to operate so orthognathic development is encouraged and growth normalized.
